Looks like some of the Pac 12's "medical experts" are already doubting the spring as well...

BREAKING: The PAC-12 presidents have voted to postpone the 2020 college football season, per sources. I'm told the medical experts didn't sound very encouraging on prospects of being able to play in spring either.. @brett_mcmurphy first reported the news.

I am sure there are/will be many lawyers reviewing the conference Grant of Rights/affiliation obligations in regards to a conference deciding not to continue with football for a year as the likes of USC, Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, Michigan, etc. aren't going to go without football for potentially 19 months.

They'll jump to another conference if they have to.

And yet they face INFINITELY more exposure by having college students on campus.

The liability argument is dodgy as hell. If they open at all, and allow these very same athletes on campus (with students that travel to/from their homes with regularity), how are they avoiding liability if those athletes get sick in a classroom instead of a lockerroom?

These athletes are still coming on campus. They're still being monitored by the athletic departments and screened/tested. They just aren't practicing or playing anymore. I fail to see precisely how that significantly diminishes their liability unless many of these athletes simply leave campus (and some absolutely will).

Maybe that's their plan.

Take something else into consideration, there are at least 3 states in the PAC-12 that wouldn't have let games happen anyway, I dunno how many there are in the Big 10 in that regard.
