"Clark & Big Fish were getting some quality work against each other in OL-DL 1-on-1. Iron-sharpening-iron type stuff.
Clark got Fish once with a bull rush & yelled:
“GROWN MAN!”
That slayed me"
Aaaand
"“I told you don’t run it my way! Better boss up, little boy!” the center of attention, Frank Clark, bellows to whichever poor soul had the misfortune of trying to block him on the first play from scrimmage. “Don’t run that weak-ass [expletive] my way! What the [expletive] wrong with you, boy!”
But the next two plays, the Chiefs’ offense decides to runs it at Clark again, which once again yields nothing except more Clark trash talk.
“Run my way for what?!” Clark bellows after the third straight foiled rush attempt. “Can’t get [expletive] my way. Big dog, big dog!”"
I just have a hard time envisioning this guy, along with Jones/Suggs/Nnadi/Pennel/etc. letting these 9ers impose their will on them. They’re just operating with an insane level of focus and intensity. [Reply]
You can’t fabricate the energy and toughness he brings. Dee Ford literally couldn’t begin to understand it, and I don’t even blame him cause I couldn’t either. [Reply]

Dee Ford can play piano better though. The 49ers like that. [Reply]

And if he rushes 300+ times/season, over the next 6-7 years, and continues to rush for an average close to or exceeding 5 yards/carry over that span, and continues to score around 12+ TDs per season, he could be in the conversation as an HOFer.
But that's a big "if" at this point. At this point, all he's done is have one exceptional season in a four year career.
So did Gurley.
And so have a lot of big backs over the years. It's going to be at least four high-production years before we can even think about putting Henry in the "great" box.
Derrick Henry had 88 touches in just 3 play off games. Add that to the 321 touches during the regular season and that puts him at 409 total touches. Thats a shit ton of touches and most guys start to drastically decline after than kind of work load. Also 88 touches in 3 games is absurd and we all know that next year Henry is going to run the ball even more. His career is over. [Reply]

This is not a post to take any side in your argument with BWillie, but I'm not sure this assessment is entirely accurate. They had a scoop and score on a fumble by D-Will, blocked a FG, and we botched a snap on another FG, settled for FG 4 other times, and missed an extra point as the icing. The Chiefs gave that game away. The 68 yard TD run by Henry was huge, but the winning TD was a pass from Tannehill. You left all this other stuff out. Why? [Reply]

I thought he had over 90 touches in three playoff games. And I was telling somebody during the game that that’s almost a third of a season for a normal workload for a running back. In just three weeks. Either way, it’s a lot of rushes. [Reply]
