I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149

Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition!

No one else started it so here it is!

**From the 2013 Thread**

If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs

If you have questions about the SS programs, look here:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

And I learned that it's not just a number, it's quality of life. This morning I jogged almost 4 miles, which is a big deal for me. I can't wait to ride RAGBRAI this summer and see what I can accomplish at the end of the year. My goal is to hit my maintenance weight of 225 and go from there.

Thanks for all the support!
That's amazing, man. Congrats!

anyhow all,

Let it be known I introduced that to Clay - I don't care what he says. I mentioned it around 8 mos ago via cell phone. I think I deserve some accolades for suggesting such a fine, balanced treat.

I don't really remember things from phone calls. I just bought it last week because I saw it.

no but I had issues for about 6-8 mos or so and it self corrected - or at least went away - so I've never revisited the possibility of surgery.

It seems just fine now - so - not sure...

Working out at home FTW.

Fucking hate going in the winter months, too. So fucking cold.

I have recently purchased some and really like it. The mixed berry (Yoplait, I think) is also really good.

And since I like you exponentially more than Clay, I'm giving you the credit. So thanks, bud! :-)

Damn has my weight and physique gotten out of control over the last two months. At first, I just told my wife, "I'm bulking up. Getting bigger and stronger." She just smirked at me. Now I can no longer deny it... I bulked up alright. Bulked right into a fatass.

So, I'm focusing harder on diet and harder on leaning out. More frequent workouts. More HIIT. Less super heavy low weight sets. I know I can stick with the heavy stuff and still lean out, but I feel like switching up.

Doing a lot of Pat Flynn's kettlebell complexes from his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/chroniclesofstrength

Here's an example:

You only need one bell for this, fifteen minutes, and your two or three of your favorite profanities (it is far from decorous, I know, to swear during a workout, but it does help, and because rest in this complex is so minimal one inevitably finds other, more creative ways to take relief).
Start with two reps of the following exercises (all on your right, and then on your left).
One Arm Swing
Clean and Press
Snatch
Front Squat
Each time through add two reps to every exercise, climbing as high as ten reps of each. Rest only between sets, not exercises. Males use 16-24kg; females use 8-12kg.
Strong ON!
