There are a lot of great guitarists. I only know that I am not one of them. But I do have my opinions which are mine and hold no weight. I wasn't a huge Van Halen fan but I did recognize Eddie's style as it was one of a kind as far as rock guitar goes.

RIP Eddie. Thanks for making my teenage years memorable. I also remember the first time I heard Eruption.
2020 has truly sucked post February and now its even worse. I have seen all three iterations of Van Halen multiple times and the one constant was the incredible sound coming from Eddie's guitar. At least we still have his music.

Lots of memories associated with music in my life, been fortunate to attend 100+ live concerts along the way, Van Halen wasn’t as tight live as I had hoped that night, but spent the time with good friends who reunited that nite. One had since passed with Covid complications...double loss.

Very sad news. 65 is young in my book...All due respect but this is one of the reasons I'm OK with vaping and chew. If you're just breathing in water vapor and nicotine or dipping you'll avoid dying a miserable cancerous death and all that comes with inhaling that tar shit.
