Chiefs Worried about Butker - Page 3

With the way this offense scores I'm concerned Butker is going to be overworked and have a short career because of this. Was it a mistake to sign him to a long term contract??

In 2018 this is what he had to do:

87 Kick offs

69 extra point attempts

27 FG attempts

Thats 183 times he had to swing that leg. 11.4 Times per game.

If Mahomes and company match or exceed last year I just think he's gonna be worn out.

That's the FG he MADE in the AFC championship. The critical game tying FG at the end of regulation that sent the game to OT. That was a 'must make'.

You don't think I gave 100% on sending goal kicks 60 yards over and over and over because my team's defense sucked? I swear I did that at least 15 times a game.

Well, I guess they did move the extra points back a few years ago , so maybe the percentages went down. That’s what the NFL wanted. To take the predictability away.

He’s 96% on XP’s in his career. He’s young. And kickers nowadays don’t get the cheap gimme XP’s that kickers use to get inside the 5. He’s fine.
