Love this band

I have not heard one song from these guys I didnt like.

This is a very good cover simple not flashy and to the point.

This is a song I have liked for a long time (Thin White Rope is one of my all time favorite bands) that I didn't even know was a cover until the original popped up on Spotify a couple of weeks ago. I still like this version best as the original is a bit on the long side.

I think both versions are great. A vocalist should sing a song in his own way, and not try to imitate the original note for note.
