Heh. No, it was a PM call. Not my deal. I was just listening to make sure the engineers didn't propose anything stupid.

I didn't read the methodology, but in theory maybe people are more cautious with nothing than they are when wearing a fleece mask?

Regardless, I wouldn't read much into it beyond "fleece isn't good."
I just bought a Mahomes fleece mask the other day. Oh well.

So here is some data I choose to interpret as we are getting better at treating this thing...

The top 3 states in cases still have a combined death count of 5,500ish less than NY who is #4 in cases overall.

CA, FL & TX have almost 4 times as many cases and only 2/3 of the death of NY alone.

If you can find them I would use a surgical mask over cloth ones .

They're actually more comfortable, too, IMO. They seem a bit more breathable even though they do a good job of filtering droplets.

Guess there's a reason they use them for surgery...

Has anyone come across any reports of specific commercial aircraft spread events? I haven't seen a single one.

If the material looks like it would trap/hold moisture it probably isn’t very good , I was not a big fan of cloth or bandanas because they seemed to accumulate moisture from your own breathing g much faster than surgical which lose some effectiveness after few hours , but fleece seems like a very poor choice for keeping something like moisture away .

The mask with which would be easier to suck a beer through is probably the worse when it comes to protection.

Fun fact that occurred to me when reading the news today:

The percentage of Lebanon's population that was killed in the explosion last week is...

0.00003% (220/6.849 million)

Based on Marcellus's logic, I'm not sure what the fuss is about.
