Even by AFC's low standards, this is an absurdly bad card. There has to be something else you can do besides watch this.

Saturday

7pm TV - (5:30pm Fightpass/7pm FS2/9pm FS1) - UFC Fight Night, Maia vs Usman

This is a below average UFC card even for free TV. The last 3 fights are interesting, but before that.... there's really only 1 fight on the prelim that I care about. So, tune in maybe 10:30pm, or just have it on as background noise so you can choose to pay attention when it sounds like a fight is getting interesting.

2am Sunday - (Fightpass) - Pancrase 296

The bidding for UFC's TV rights is over. FOX is out, ESPN bought everything. It is $1.5B over 5 years, $300MM per year. For that, ESPN gets:

• 10 full events on ESPN channels
• 12 PPV prelim cards on ESPN channels
• 20 events on ESPN+ (ESPN's new streaming service which will be $5/month in 2019)
