Oh wow this article is exactly what I tried discussing here before it was ruined by that Lakers homer. It looks like Lebron is moving to the post maybe the 4 or dare I say small ball 5. Looking to model his late career after Magic, Jordan, Kobe who all posted more in their mid 30s
Guess Lebron is sick of having to use all his energy on the perimiter while specialists just stand and watch at the 3 point line. [Reply]

But that’s all on him. That’s Lebron Ball and clearly what he wanted to do at the time. [Reply]

Unless the plan is for Lebron to play off the ball? Have we ever seen that before? Did he even do that in Miami?
They are so deep at the guards and wings it looks like Lebron would play PF almost full time?
This looks like one of those seasons Lebron takes a month sabbatical in February to "heal." Where we see him play maybe 33-34 mins a game instead of 37/38 and maybe closer to 69 games than 77 to 82 like he's been in Cleveland.
I'm thinking they got Lance and Rondo more for defensive matchups than anything. It seems Rondo has regressed defensively the last few years but maybe a new team and playing with a guy like Lebron will light a fire under his ass. [Reply]

I still don't see how Harden & Westbrook are a good fit playing together. Looking back on it sure you resign them, but they certainly don't compliment each other. So it's kind of a law of diminishing returns type of deal. Honestly the best thing to do with Westbrook is to have all shooters and a big you can alley oop to. That's it. Both Harden & Wetsbrook need the ball in their hands AAAAAALOOOT to be most effective. [Reply]

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I love basketball and the NBA but I don't really get much out of watching guys jack up 3's at a rate never seen before. What is entertaining to me is guys like Westbrook, Lebron, Jordan, Kobe etc. Guys who use their raw physical tools to destroy.
I feel like now athleticism not quite as important. I want to see guys flying through the air, being physical in the paint, slicing and dicing. Not a 3 point contest. That is what the NBA is becoming.
The reason it is increasing in popularity is because of demographics, and with the dwindling of NFL and MLB there needs to be something to fill the void. [Reply]
Sounds great as a raptors fan, but also have a bad gut feeling he’ll screw them over. Theyre going to have to give up a lot to get him, and he is not guaranteed to sign there long term. Now Im hearing reports that Kawhi has no desire to play there. This doesn’t sound like a trade that is going to bode well considering the circumstances and that they have to give up a lot of assests to get him. Too risky. [Reply]

And the point of staying with the status quo was what exactly? This is the only thing Masai has done that's made any sense in his entire tenure. After Kawhi leaves, just rebuild the whole thing.
It was beyond clear that the Raptors were winning shit all with a guy like DeRozan on the roster and that would have continued for the remainder of his career. [Reply]
So the trade is Kawhi and Danny Green for Derozan and Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick. From what I read Kawhi and Derozan are pissed though I don't understand why Derozan would be. He is going to a first class organization with one of the best coaches in the NBA. He should be thrilled. [Reply]
