Yep, another Alex Smith thread - but a solid and fair read from Sam Mellinger.

And so it is that this particular group of Chiefs players and executives attempt to solve a puzzle that no group of Chiefs players and executives has solved since 1970, which is so long ago CBS erased the tape to save money:
Get to the Super Bowl.
And it’s hard to believe that will happen without addressing the quarterback situation.
This is not a call for the Chiefs to walk away from Alex Smith, even though this is the first offseason since his arrival in which they could do it without a fatal salary cap hit. This is a call for them to look, to try, to make sure they don’t have access to a better option — whether that’s Tony Romo in a trade, Deshaun Watson in the draft (which would almost certainly require a trade up), or anything else.

**** that. Time to move on.
there was NO ****ing pressure on Alex and he ran. lol step up and chuck it, bam touchdown. He would have gotten hit after the throw, but shit like that is frustrating as hell. THis happens EVERY Single game multiple times. [Reply]

He should have stepped up and made that throw. He would have gotten clocked but maybe draws a flag even if he misses the throw. Instead he runs away where he's even more vulnerable to getting drilled and throws it away. I've noticed when we're on the edge of field goal range he never does this and usually hangs onto the ball and gets sacked. **** him. [Reply]

Those type of head scratching plays happen at least once a game with Alex. He just never scans the entire field and it's time to bring somebody in that has a better field of vision. Alex has had his chances and he hasn't shown that he has what it takes. [Reply]

I don't even think he gets hit.
Harrison took 2 strides away from Smith to hit Kelce, gets thrown off his rush and has to cross over to even find the hole vacated by Fulton. If Smith throws when he sees Hill even with Davis (and he's staring RIGHT AT HILL when he draws even), he gets that ball out when Harrison is still 5 yards away from him.

What the hell does vision have to do with it? HE'S LOOKING RIGHT AT HILL! Right the fuck at him. Sees him the whole way.
That's not bad vision, that's straight up fucking cowardice. [Reply]

It was absolutely pathetic, inexcusable football.
I'm stunned.
Don't worry, Andy was looking at the tape until 2 AM. Its on him, he will get this fixed. [Reply]
What is with all the Foles stinks crap. Who cares? Give him the job for 2017 and then give it to a young QB we drafted. Does anyone actually think Foles can't throw 10 more tds that Smith? 15 tds is pathetic and far below what rookies accomplished. [Reply]
