Couple good information sources....for phone, HiDef Radar is excellent. Handy for when the power is off and /or your internet connection fails.

Another one but not in app form is WeatherSpark

Its way more reliable than Weather Underground which seems to fail when you have storms....not a good thing.

Try Weather Nation too. Wunderground is having a lot of issues with upgrades.

**SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR
PLATTE...WEST CENTRAL JACKSON AND WESTERN CLAY COUNTIES IN WEST
CENTRAL MISSOURI UNTIL NOON CDT...
AT 1125 AM...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL
IN OVERLAND PARK.
AT 1129 AM CDT...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM MCLOUTH TO LEAWOOD...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.
HAZARD...GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL AND 60 MPH WIND GUSTS.
SOURCE...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS.
IMPACT...PEOPLE AND ANIMALS OUTDOORS WILL BE INJURED. EXPECT HAIL
DAMAGE TO ROOFS...SIDING...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES. EXPECT WINDDAMAGE TO ROOFS...SIDING AND TREES.

Looks like they just issued a regular tornado watch for KC. Most of the forcecasts I have heard are saying the worst will likely hit to the east of the KC metro. The National Weather Service along with some other sources have said the intensity could be worse if we get sunlight between the rounds of storms.
