Saccopoo Memorial Draft Forum>*** 2017 Prospect Tracker: Chiefs Interest / Visits / Work Outs ***
Dante84 04:10 PM 01-17-2017
Another playoff run, and a winning season has us drafting at the tail end of each round.

This is the 6th year in a row that we will be tracking the college players the Chiefs have publicly or privately expressed interest in leading up to the NFL Draft.

Here's how we did in 2016.

For those who are new, the way this operates is that we collectively monitor various social media sources, blogs, articles and reports for news of the Chiefs' interest in a certain player. When posted in this thread, I will update the OP to include the player. *Please provide the link to the article, the players name, position and team.

I am going to try to link to player profiles when they exist, courtesy of draftbreakdown.com. For some of the lesser-known guys, it may just be a random video or profile from their team website.

Let's meet some of our future Chiefs:

Oregon State's Dustin Stanton (C/G/LS) says he met with the Chiefs after OS' Pro Day and they had him run some additional tests. He's doing a draft diary for the Oregonian and mentioned somewhere that his agent is still in contact with the Chiefs, whatever that means.

Also, we already had Davis Webb from a previous interaction, but I did see that we just hosted him on a formal visit as well.

Please draft Davis Webb!! Then move up and draft Mixon in the 2nd.

We would be set for a decade.

The Chiefs were host to hybrid safety/linebacker Nicholas Morrow on Tuesday, a source told The Star.

The Kansas City Chiefs recently hosted Cameron Malveaux, a defensive lineman from the University of Houston, for a pre-draft visit.

I've long thought DJ Johnson would make a good TE. He's not incredibly athletic but his is a big body with decent feet. He did develop a really solid post move acumen despite being coached by Squeaky. He's a competitor and the effort is. Always there. If there was a guy to take a chance to develop I think it's him.

I think the list is incomplete. Dorsey said after the draft that they met with Tpassegnon at the Senior Bowl. Hunt, too, I believe.

Yeah, I think we (CP) weren't as aggressive this year as monitoring in the past. I was worried during the Sr. Bowl / Shrine Game weeks when not much news surfaced.

Hunt and Kpass we chatted with at the Sr. Bowl.

I think the LB we snagged was surprised bc he hadn't met with us.

My Internet connection is shitty currently. So I couldn't keep track as I did in the past
