Last I heard she was improving but he wasn’t doing very well.

Yeah, same here. My wife is sending 2 or 3 a day to the ER for it. The closedown of daycare and schools and the reopening flipped the seasonality.

Maybe it's just because they did a great job of eradicating the other variants, so the new one shows up as a bigger proportion.

(Looks at vaccination figures.)

Eh, never mind.

It's an odd collection of states that are on that list, though. I'm not sure if they have anything in common. They aren't all low-vaxx states, they aren't all tourist states, they aren't all in one geography, and so on. So maybe there's just some randomness in being on the list.

I’d guess you’d have to break it down more county by county than state by state

And? How many serious "cases" in previously healthy people? Also, every one has had the opportunity to get a vaccine, if they don't that is THIER choice. No one elses.

Could be. I know in Colorado it's mostly confined to the Grand Junction area, which is a lower vaccination, but somewhat higher population, area.

Without a link and some context, this means nothing.

Here you go:

Sorry, but I didn't use to be able to post links. I guess I can now.

I'm not sure what you mean by context. Those are the percentages of Delta variant cases per state. It's now the predominant variant in Missouri by far, and growing substantially in other states.
