Nzoner's Game Room>Need some help from the mechanics
TLO 06:51 PM 08-15-2020
2015 Dodge Charger RT - 75,000 miles.

I'm noticing a clicking/ticking sound coming from the front end, (sounds like maybe from the right side) under acceleration at low speed. The noise is also present when coming to a stop. It seems to be worse when turning under acceleration. At higher speeds the noise goes away. (Will generally stop once I hit 15mph or so)

The noise is not present when the car is cold. Takes about 15 minutes of driving before it becomes noticeable at all.

Car seems to be running well, no issues shifting.

Will try to provide more details as needed.

Just part of the build charm I guess. Just chalk it up as a win that you don't have any electrical gremlins yet and sell it. :-)

You need to taste it to make sure, that's always the first thing you do!

I found a post on Reddit where a poster was having this exact problem. Turns out the issue was in Chargers you’re supposed to use diesel every other fill up, he was only using unleaded. Hope this helps!

This struck me as a good idea, so I tried it. Swerving back and forth seemed to have no impact on the sound. The last couple of days the following things have stood out to me.

1. The noise is only present after 15-20 minutes of driving.
2. I first noticed it when I was turning, but the same noise is present when slowly accelerating from a stop, or right as I'm coming to a stop.

My Dad is going to help me look at it tomorrow. Hope it's not an expensive fix.

I tried this in each tailpipe. Had a nice vibration to it! The right side was a little tighter than the left. Overall a pleasant experience!
