The NCAA basketball tourney is extremely exciting and fun to watch, but in no way does it determine the best team in the country.

In the last decade there has only been two teams outside of the kenpom top 5 to win a national championship and only once to do it out of the top 10

Missouri was a far bigger favorite against Norfolk (one of the worst 15 seeds ever) than Duke was against Lehigh. I believe it was statistically the biggest underdog win in the history of the tournament.
