Hall of Classics>Teedubya getting after it

Take that, Chiefs.

http://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments...n_me_to_get_a/

The KC Chiefs just blocked me on Twitter. LOL Last night, I tweeted that for the 4th year in a row, the Chiefs are at the bottom of salary cap spending and that the owner, Clark Hunt, is hoarding cap dollars. The Chiefs commitment to mediocrity has made me not care much about being a fan... They responded with this DM.

I responded that it is good to know that the KC Chiefs have an immature teenager running their social media.
I, as a fan for my whole life of nearly 40 years, who have never seen the Chiefs in a Superbowl, nor have I seen a playoff win in nearly 20 years, nor have I seen a QB drafted in the last 27 years... I have a right to be pissed. The Kansas City Chiefs have no right to be pissy toward the fans. We are the ones paying your salaries. Shame on you, Chiefs. Oh, and congrats on 50 years of being in KC. 10 years of greatness, followed by 40 years of pathetic profiteering.

Duh. Any and every critical thinker know this as fact, which is why the Chiefs can continue to manipulate their fans into believing they're actually doing something in the offseason when in reality, they're not doing nearly enough to bring home a Super Bowl.

It's a Shell Game.

Yeah... but, it is slowly changing now that it's been two decades since they won a playoff game. And even if it's not a substitute for football, Sporting KC is showing people how an organization should be run. That kind of arrogance usually catches up to a company, except in this case they're the only game in town and they could eventually move if things got really bad.... so yeah, they know they have the fans by the balls.

But, like I said, I do think it's slowly changing... Arrowhead is rarely at the same level as it was 10-15 years ago, more long-term season ticket holders have finally given up their tickets... I've been going to games for free or at least 50% off for the past several years, and it's almost always in the lower level. But, that doesn't mean they won't continue to make a shitload of money for years to come and fans won't flock back the moment they show signs of improving... hell, I would have been tempted to buy season tickets had Peyton Manning or a franchise QB come to town.

It took a while, but it did happen and that was before the internet and all this social media communication. In the late 70s and most of the 80s, there was usually more empty seats than full ones.

It should be much easier now for the fans to get united.

I think they could make money now, given the TV revenue...

You make a good point, they could lay off most of the stadium help.

I've said for the longest time that the Hunts are strictally business men, and if it weren't for mandates from the NFL, they'd run the Chiefs exactly like Glass runs the Royals.

Fox enjoyed him so much they're having him on again twice tonight. I'm a little proud of being a part of this. Good on him. The Chiefs were way out of line with that. I don't care who runs it, it's the official Fucking account which makes it THE voice of The Kansas City Chiefs.

It's pretty damn sad that when you go to Arrowhead, all the pictures, videos, trophies, image stuff is from teams that played 40 years ago. 40...years...ago.

The only teams that even compare on the long term failure scale are the Jets, Browns and Lions. Everyone else, including expansion teams, have gone farther than KC.

Hard to believe, really. But its true. Of course, being in the same division as John Elway in the 1990s was a very bad break.
