This quote proves the writer is an idiot. Broncos fans have told us all offseason our own eyes lied to us and Mahomes went exclusively against backups.

This kid has every chance in the world of nailing being a top notch NFL QB.

I really hate this coming up all the time. Yes, he had a bad day at practice but Andy also stated that they were trying some new stuff to "see what they can do". So these are plays that the coaches had drawn up and wanted to see if they would actually work on the field. This is the sort of thing OTAs are all about and it should not shock anyone that some of those plays did not work as well as expected.

For future generations, Chiefs history is going to be split into two eras: Pre-Mahomes and Mahomes.

Thanks for sharing - but he's reaching to write an article - I didn't see anything new, really.

For us in KC. If you're some pea brained Broncos homer you might have. :-)

I can't remember any time in history a KC player has gotten this much media attention.

I'm not sure Eric Berry got this much attention when he was coming back from cancer.

I think KC fans were lying saying they went exclusively against starters. That's also a fiction.

Anyone with a brain knows that pretty much everyone except the LB corp were back ups from the 3rd quarter onward. Make no mistake, their starters were playing in the first half, but mostly back ups in the 2nd. It's like both sides are telling convenient half truths. Also true is that Mahomes didn't play any snaps with starters except Hunt who had 1 carry for 35 yards.

And it shouldn't matter anyway because it was a meaningless game. A glorified preseason contest.

I wonder if the play of PM will make a large section of the fanbase realize how average (at best) our QB play has been for probably a decade.

"So this is what a real QB looks like"

I'm just psyched to know that our days of enduring quarterback performances that make me contemplate whether I could do any better are coming to an end.

Alex Smith had some very good performances, but when he was bad....woof, he was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
