Exactly.
Sr had wrists so quick that he could throw his bat out at that pitch off the plate and still finish the swing while fully extended. Suddenly he could drive the ball because he had wrist/hand strength unlikely anyone I've ever seen.
Vlad just doesn't have that. What he HAD in the minors was a really good approach and feel for the zone. And he just completely abandoned it.
That skill is still there. He's even demonstrated it in the majors. It just seems like he doesn't really give a shit. [Reply]
