Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

I don't know what to tell people that think there is a chance of Berry signing with the Chiefs or the Chiefs wanting to sign Berry. Some people just can't see the writing on the wall, I guess.

Not crazy about the idea of trading a 1st for Clark - but the guy is a beast. I still think having a top edge pressence is important and Clark is a great fit for spags' defense.

I think you have to look at draft value charts to put things in perspective. Our first is essentially a high second and our seconds are worth very little. Im hopeful that we wont have to give up too much, but I can also see why we may.

2017 highlights are equally impressive: https://youtu.be/KApvGR8gIMc

Clark owns Andrew Whitworth based on all that I’ve seen.

Not worth two 2nd’s?

How many pass rushers have been as good as him the last 3 years?

If they could get Clark for 2 late second rounders, uh yeah you gotta do it.

Greedy with our first pick then use our 2 seconds on Clark

Damn that would be nice.

If I'm giving up two 2nd round picks....then I'm giving them one this year and one next year.

Hard to imagine they'd be interested with the off-field issues. Too much of that already.

That Seattle guy made it sound like it’s more likely than not that he will be a Seahawk in 2019.

I’m telling you guys, this isn’t going to happen. Not unless the Seahawks price comes way down.

He got the “non exclusive” franchise tag.

Meaning anyone can negotiate a contract with the agent.

A 2 that can increase to a 1 next year would be as far as I’d be willing to go.

To me trading for Clark comes down to 4 2nd round picks on basically one defensive end because we wouldn't be in such dire need at the position if it wasn't for our last 2 2nd round picks being used on complete black holes (so far, I think the book on Kpass is just about written). Signing Okafor and Ogbah and then also trading for Clark would show a complete lack of faith in Speaks and Kpass and basically signal that both were wasted picks.

This thought process is retarded.
