Well things just completely went off the rails.

-Manfred guaranteed a couple days ago there'd be a season.
-Players union stopped negotiating and told Manfred to determine how many games the season will be, which all weekend sounded like it'd be about 50 games.
-Manfred comes back today and responds by saying there might not be a season at all.

This could be the slow march towards the death of baseball if they don't play this season. With things going so well between owners and MLBPA it is hard not to see a work stoppage in 2022. Couple those two things together and they are really stacking the deck against themselves.
