I don't remember if we've done this before, but if we have, bite me. :-)

Manfred Mann: Blinded by the light

Maybe listen to it louder? :-)
Plugged some headphones in and much much better. :-)

Mob Rules...or Heaven and Hell?
I saw Sabbath on the Mob Rules tour so I probably personally rank it higher than a lot of people do but Heaven and Hell is a near perfect album, so - both.

Yeah, Mob Rules has two of my favorite all-time songs. But Heaven and Hell is a complete album, front to back.

I didn't know until this week (thanks, Spotify) that Nirvana's "Love Buzz" was a cover. The song was originally done by the 60's band Shocking Blue. Shocking Blue, of course, was the band that also first wrote and charted with "Venus" that Bananarama had a big hit with when they covered it in the '80s.

I still prefer Nirvana's version but the original version by Shocking Blue is interesting.

Speaking of Nirvana, I like their version of “Plateau” better than the original Meat Puppets version.

Unfortunately there isnt a full version of it anywhere but
Denise Huxtable aka Lisa Bonet singing "oh baby I love your way" for High Fidelity.

I think I might like SRV's version just a little better, though Joe's version is really good too :-)

Within Temptation has a number of really good covers out there.

It's crazy that Sharon apparently never had any formal voice training. She has an amazing voice.

I know this is a bit muddy cell phone recording but my god Sadler Vadens solo about 3:44 captures Toms spirit totally. Nice cover and tribute from one of my favorite young guitarists.

Sadler captures Duane's tone with that Les Paul Jason aint to bad either. Nice cover of ABB Duane and Greg smiling down.
