Excited to see what he can do in a full time role, getting full time attention from the coaching staff with full time reps.

It's time to shit or get off the pot for Hardman, because he's gonna wanna get paid soon.

The Chiefs are wise to see what they really have in him this season, and i think it's partly why they didn't go snatch a day 1 starter this year at WR.

If Hardman works out, he gets a 2nd contract. If he doesn't, i think next season the Chiefs blow up the WR room and completely re-invent it.

Fuck no.

He needs to be a 800+ yards a year guy if he wants to be our #2. If he can't do that as a full time starter then the Chiefs are likely gonna move on when year 4 is up.

It really isn't surprising that he's struggling. Hopefully, he finally gets it and he breaks out this year.
The thing is, it's not as if the guy made any noticeable progress throughout the season. He was as careless with the football and as off with Mahomes in the playoffs as he had been all season. He just really seems to play dumb football.

I'd love to be wrong on this one and will be thrilled if he's able to take a leap in year 3. But expectations have to be quite low.

8-10 TDs would be killer, but 500 yards, for the amount of attempts Mahomes has each year, would be underwhelming.

Edited. I read it as 800-1000 yd. guy I'd be happy if he was pushing for 1000 in healthy seasons.

I actually meant to put 800-1,000 because even a legitimate 1,000 yard guy would have trouble getting that behind Kelce and Hill in the pecking order.

I mean if he averaged 60 yard per game and 8-10 tudders on the season i'd be happy.

I get that. But you also have to keep in mind that guys don't often learn much mid-season. There's too much other stuff going on. He really needs to learn in the offseason and build a base he can build off of because he doesn't have that yet. I hold out hope for him but I don't reasonably expect he'll be much more than he is now - it's a head vs. heart thing.

Hardman has 10 career receiving TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 1 punt return TD, 1 kickoff return TD and 1 postseason receiving TD.

He was the 5th WR drafted in 2019 and AJ Brown is the only WR taken before him that has had more impact.

And, the only ones drafted later that year that have been more productive are DK Metcalf and Terry McClaurin.

Brown and Metcalf are both big 225 lbs and McClaurin is bigger at 205 than Hardman is at 185.

Hardman's build and skillset seems to me to be more suitable to not being full time. Tyreek Hill has amazing stamina and the electronic monitor results from games show he is one of a kind for top end speed and stamina. Tyreek misses few plays and only takes a play off when he needs to recover.

Hardman could be more productive, but he has been very productive to date and he might always be a player who is most productive when he plays half of the offensive snaps.

He's physically tough for his size, but he may be most productive when he does not take too many hits and offensive snaps.

Hardman is gonna end the season with more fumbles than TD's.

Robinson and Hardman both need to be off this team.

Yup. They are more good enough. Back ups only. Hardman was a wiff of a pick.
