Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

#Browns GM John Dorsey said he has been in contact with the agents of free-agent safeties Eric Berry, who has connection to Dorsey, and Tre Boston, who has connection with DC Steve Wilks

They'd have to trade up to get White or Bush. That would be a real waste of draft capital, especially White. If you're giving up a bunch of picks, it better be a QB, LT, or pass rusher. Otherwise, it's not worth it.

If White fell to the early teens, sure. Better be sure he's the next Kuechly and can anchor your defense for the next 8 years though.

I dunno that i'd do that.

It would be an extremely hilarious situation if Berry ended up with Dorsey after his contract was one of the things that supposedly got Dorsey run out of town and put Berry in a permabad mood

Sounds like Boston has interest from teams and maybe is just waiting out because the offers aren’t what he expected...

That’s what happens when you don’t stand up.

That sounds like a pretty dumb move on his part. It's not like teams will be spending MORE money after the draft.

I don’t disagree. Probably just a pride thing.

Just go try to win a ring and there’s a good chance someone will overpay you next year if you’re apart of that.

Sure they will.

Once teams don't get a starter in the draft, he'll be in more demand.
