A little surprised, but not THAT surprised.

That’s the biggest issue when Sammie is out. You can expect one or two boneheaded plays from that duo.

They might need to send Sammy to a specialist...

The percentages can be kind of fickle...

browns red zone offense 4th -- 39/53 -- 73.6%
Chiefs red zone offense 14th -- 36/59 -- 61%
...so, the Browns win in efficiency, but only have 3 more red zone TDs all season.

68% (36/53) of the Chiefs' touchdowns have come from the red zone this season.
81% (39/48) of the Browns' touchdowns have come from the red zone.

So yeah, the Chiefs are less reliant on red zone offense, even though they're also in the top 10 in red zone attempts.

browns red zone defense 19th -- 37/61 -- 61%
Chiefs red zone defense 32nd -- 36/47 -- 77%
...defense is interesting, because the Browns have given up more TDs in the red zone, because they're 7th worse in attempts against (Bills are 6th).
...the Chiefs are 6th best in attempts against, but they're of course really bad when teams do get into the red zone.

84% (36/43) of the Chiefs' TDs against have been from the red zone.
78% (37/47) of the Browns' TDs against have been from the red zone.

tl;dr
Chiefs offense -- you're kind of screwed. :-)
Browns offense -- solely based on those numbers, it'll be interesting to see how many trips they get into the red zone, but there's a definite strength vs weakness in that regard.

No, he didn't.

But we’ll see. If for some reason shit goes wrong, Watkins is going to have to tuck his tail between his legs on the way out of town.
Watkins out is a big deal IMO. His production yards can be matched, but not his downfield blocking. Dude is easily the best blocking WR the Chiefs have. That element will be missed. Not good at all.

The Watkins tweet is absolutely meaningless. He wasn't talking about the Browns, he was talking about a game that wasn't even 25% over.

It changes nothing.

He needs to be on the field. The whole season was a dress rehearsal for this time right now. And he's hurt. AGAIN.

It's time for him to go somewhere else.

Yep. Also you miss his blocking.

:-) Give me a break. Responds to a tweet about the Browns being potential competition next week with "lol I wouldn't go that far" and you've somehow convinced yourself he just meant the game wasn't over yet. Yeah, okay buddy.

Neither Tweet specifically mentioned the Browns. I don't have to convince myself of anything, I'm capable of reading the exchange, in context, and not making it into something it isn't just for the sake of fucking WWE drama. That's what NFL media gets paid to do.

Who is more likely to be used D Williams or Bell if CEH doesn't play?

:-) Yeah, the first tweet in the conversation was Watkins talking about the Browns going up on the Steelers in a way reminiscent of a video game. It's painfully obvious what the exchange was about.

But even if you want to delude yourself and pretend you don't know what he's talking about, the fact of the matter is he's talking shit about "competition" in a game that HE. WONT. PLAY. IN. BECAUSE. HES. HURT. It's the ultimate bitch move.

Probably Williams honestly but who knows. I think we're going to see a few new things on Sunday.
