Singer and Bubic and Keller were excellent IMO which was the most important thing to find out. We learned Lil Nicky sucks and can’t start next year, Whit needs to move back to 2B. And as DJ pointed out we still ended up with #7 overall.

Disappointments really limited to the Farm not being able to progress. But since everyone faced that it’s hard to determine it as a net loss. Since Dozier is moving to 1B next year, it was great to see his fielding metrics there improve.

Question for next year: Who. Are. The. 3. OF? Cordero? Oliveras CF? McBroom? RoH? Need to find a corner OF as top priority.

Agreed.

It SOUNDS like the off-season work by Pratto and Melendez helped them a bunch, plus Witt showed out in camp and probably accelerated his debut.

Tell us what’s up with Kowar-Lynch-Lacy

That’s really all we need to know. I can’t find anything on Shitter.

I haven't heard a bunch about them, though the few things I could glean were:

1) Lacy is advanced enough that if they were staying in the race, he would have been brought up to give them innings out of the pen

2) Lynch was the best pitcher in the extended camp

I think it was a good developmental year for all of them. Hopefully Kowar worked hard on his breaking ball or cutter and made some progress.

Twins lost their 17th STRAIGHT playoff game yesterday. That's fucking brutal.

They lost their 18th straight today and are done, again.

I believe this is:

5 division series
1 wildcard
1 3-game series (2020) without a W

They haven't won a postseason game since 2004

Entire Central division booted out in the first round. We knew this was a pattern for the Twins, but Indians continue to show they peaked in 2016 and the Sox are either not ready for prime time or are not built to make a deep run.

Well the Twins and Indians both went .500 against the Royals. You knew they weren't ready for prime time.

Is it time for the Royals to take over AGAIN? I think it's getting close. :-)

Padres are putting up a fight. Entertaining game. It would have been a set back to be beat by an inferior team as they're ascending as an organization.

I am always hopeful. Maybe they get traded or they have great years for the Royals.

I've never been a big Yasiel Puig fan, but maybe at this point in his career he's not too expensive and he "feels like playing baseball". Royals could use someone that can hit.
