Basically kick the can down the road when Love eventually becomes the starter.

I think their window is closed, and that if they can get premium draft picks for an aging QB, they should.

Franchise QB's don't grow on trees. When you have one, you KEEP HIM, because as long as you have him, you're a contender. You have NO CHANCE without one, just ask the Denver Broncos.
They were planning on rebuilding two years ago. What they didn't plan on was whiffing on Jordan Love. The Packers would be in much better shape long-term if they get what they can for Rodgers now. Look at what happened with the Saints when they were in cap hell with Brees, they restructured their team to death and never made it back to the Super Bowl and now they're a dumpster fire.

:-)
The Chiefs had a top-5 QB on a rookie deal. They aren't close to approaching the cap situation the Packers and Saints are/were in. The situations aren't the same when your franchise QB is making less than $7M per year.

Denver has the 5th-most space in the league.
Green Bay has the 2nd-fewest.

A large contract would hurt the Packers significantly more than it would hurt the Broncos.
:-) @ cap space. Blart Beach found a dime in the Coke machine and signed all of the Chiefs' Free Agents he wanted.

The 'cap' is a myth.

This has been proven by the Chiefs and several other teams over the last few years.

If you want to make it work, you can make it work.

I imagine the Packers will figure out a way to make it work.

Funny stat line... which of these is Jay Cutler and which is Troy Aikman?

Games Started 153 / passing yards 35,133 / passing TDs 227 / INTs 160
Games Started 165 / passing yards 32,942 / passing TDs 165 / INTs 141

And, if what you say is true... then Lock is a 3rd world poverty level Jeff George?

At 74 million over...they'll have to make some kind of cuts, but why are we talking about the Packers?

I guess the first one because the numbers are higher and Cutler played in Star Wars league with a demished run game.

Please, where there is a will... there is a way with making the salary cap work. Amirite? C'mon, that shit is easy.

They can clear all of it up, and have left overs, using restructures.

I think it is embarrassing to have a thread about the Broncos on a Chiefs forum, if there is a mega thread on the Broncos then where is the Raiders and Chargers mega thread?
