This country is in shambles. I feel bad for even being naively proud on July 4, the evil has just taken over.

BREAKING: Police seize rifle from St. Louis couple in Black Lives Matter standoffhttps://t.co/OtTySD1fNe

We need a hero to step up very, very badly.

In the video he said it’s possible she could have exposure to assualt charges since she pointed the gun at people. Impossible to know if she was threatened or not, which would be the deciding factor, but there is potential there.

If I was in a jury though it’d be hard for me to watch the video and determined that she didn’t think her safety was threatened.
MO has a Castle Law—whether they were threatened or not, they were on private property. To my knowledge fear of an attack is supposed to be assault too.

At the request of prosecutor Chris Hinkley, the report says, the firearm was stripped and found to have been assembled incorrectly. It was then re-assembled properly, test fired and functioned as designed. Charging documents said the gun was capable of lethal use.

“It would be disheartening to learn, if accurate, that the authorities tampered with evidence in order to bring charges against an innocent member of the community,” the McCloskey's attorney Joel Schwartz said.

This. As much as I don't like Parsons, this is helping me, maybe, pinch my nose and cast a vote for him.

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer seeing Greitens run again, but this is a good move for Parson's getting reelected. He certainly hasn't lost any votes because of this.

Just a random tidbit, but interesting in its randomness.
Was scrolling through The Facebooks and there was a Kim Gardner ad. Out of curiosity, I clicked the comments and it was a bloodbath. So far as I know, there are no algorithms on what comments I see, so I take this to be a pretty random sample of people targeted by the ad [ie, St. Louisans]. Now there may be a bias in who in St. Louis uses facebook, but the derision and condemnation was overwhelming. Not exactly what she was looking for, I'll wager.

The lead St. Louis police detective investigating the McCloskey case refused to sign at least two versions of court documents prosecutors drafted, according to a review of those documents obtained by 5 On Your Side.

In addition, police contend at least one person in the crowd was armed and another was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, after analyzing videos taken June 28, when the couple confronted protesters with guns...

The people seeing jail time over this might turn out to be those working for the prosecution.

The prosecutor or whatever he was seeking murder charges in that shooting involving a taster, lost his election—overwhelming too.
