JJ can basically bring back whatever his answer is and just say Kylo was lying about it.

Please JJ un**** the Star wars movies again.

One good thing I will take away from this movie is I have no desire to see rian johnson's Star wars trilogy what so ever.
Wish I had known about this -- would have loved to have asked him why the f*** the First Order, having FINALLY tracked down the Resistance, couldn't send even a few TIE fighters or another Star Destroyer or something instead of spending the whole movie shooting at a ship that was supposedly "out of range" until they ran out of fuel. And why didn't the Resistance just use their ships to Hyperspace people all over the galaxy (like Finn and Rose were doing) and make multiple runs since the FO couldn't figure out the problem. And, now that I think about it, why was Laura Dern trying to stop them? Or not sharing what the plan was? Or taking Leia's role in the self-sacrificing?

This movie was so stupid.

I'm sure I would have gotten boo'd and then been told that I wasn't paying attention when Hux commented on the situation.

The First Order can track spaceships through hyperspace but can’t land their battle cruisers (AT-A6) closer to the Resistance base than like 10 miles?

If they knew where the base was located, why try to blow out a blast door? Just nuke it from above.

The entire film is terrifyingly incompetent.

It’s an exercise in excess and buffoonery.

It came off like the bad Star Trek films where each of the marginal characters each had to have their "moment." Combined with a director who didn't want to lose a bunch of bits because he personally liked them.

It’s the exact opposite of Rogue One. Those people willingly sacrificed their lives to make the galaxy better and the Empire couldn’t have cared less.

The Empire didn’t care about the Rebels nor did they care about their own. Director Krennic spent his adult life serving the Empire and creating the ultimate weapon and yet Tarkin had zero issues killing him and everyone else on Scarif.

Kylo Ren didn’t even kill Hux.

Holy shit. There's a solid 50 post stretch of nothing but bitching. Was it really that bad?

I thought it was pretty well done overall. I liked how they tried to move BEYOND the Skywalkers. Yeah, the things mentioned here (Leiaflying, the casino scene) were pretty bad, but I was happy. Hopefully the second time through I can pick up on some of the tidbits....

The audience reviews on RT are inching towards 65%. Alot of the actual fans that saw the early screenings seem to be PISSED.

I originally thought I liked it and said so in my early review. Upon reflection I am jumping on the "this was a shit show" bandwagon. Ughhh

It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. I don't think even Peter Jackson could make that a 10 minute long short film.

I liked the last 1/3 of the movie, even with some of the issues. The first 2/3's, though... The humor was juvenile, the pacing and editing was terrible, it was overdrawn, and like already said the casino scene added nothing.

Rogue One was awesome. TFA, I really enjoyed. This... I don't even know what this was.

I would also like to point out that they had ships they knew they were abandoning because they were running low on fuel. Why didn't one of the guys left on those ships do the Kamikaze thing and save everyone?

And at the end of the day, where does Episode IX take us? This felt like the end of Star Wars to me.

Episode IX is going to feel like some unnecessary epilogue.
They already have him as director for the finale of the trilogy? :-)
