Nzoner's Game Room>*****Severe Weather Thread-2020*****
displacedinMN 09:14 AM 04-11-2020
Many may know-I am a weather watcher. I have a weather station at school that posts to many weather services. Also have a website with a Twitter account. (with a Chiefs list)

Below is the Windy.com map. I centered it on KC but it can be moved to where you are located. Or go to Windy.com-there is also an app.
Very versatile and tons of possibilities. This map is fully functional for the viewer.

Some have already had severe weather-where as I am looking at 5 inches of snow for Easter.

Assuming the rain goes around you....we have something like that on the farm in Iowa.

Got a pretty good storm fired up today. 20% chance of rain LOL.
Rasputin 03:18 PM 06-21-2020
I heard tennis ball sized hail

It's storming hard. Likely to lose power this evening.

Had to put this here instead of the Epic Win Thread. Unfortunately, one death last night.

Nate Erickson survived a tornado near Dalton last night by hanging on underneath this tractor. His coworker, who he says was a 30-year-old newly married father of four was killed. @kare11 pic.twitter.com/zjY8ZbPIHt

Then this is cool.

I definitely got out of the car and walked up to it on foot pic.twitter.com/RrvkNt3fRF

Have fun protesting in a hurricane

In case you missed it, because it developed quickly over the last 24 hours, a tropical storm is likely to head directly through NYC this afternoon and evening. Max winds right now at 50 mph and plenty of rain moving in, which will be the main threat... pic.twitter.com/a3ohuhnuG7

Wind blew harder here Monday night...

50? That's a nice little Sunday.

At the end of harvest I hadn't checked my wells in a hot minute and really needed to get there. But Dad needed some help with the combine, so 2 hours later I'm doing it in 70 MPH wind on the last 2. Got sandblasted in the first one and the second one was fucking raining. Had to load up my 4 wheeler in the shit. I was a drowned rat when it was all done. We only got a half inch, but I'm pretty sure I got it all in the teeth.

50...psshhh

Seems like incredibly poor decision making to stand there making light of it and filming for several minutes instead of trying to get away from it.

Sad story. Guy left behind 4 kids.

It wasn't the guy filming the tornado that died was it?

Coogs-no. A local person in a shop. Direct hit of the tornado to the shop.

With the video I posted. I am impressed at the small size of storm at the base compared to how big the top is. Almost like you could be within feet of it and be ok.
Then seeing how hard the air is being driven into the ground.

That was an impressive video. I watched it multiple times. By the looks of the corn field, and the couple of other videos through his windshield, it must have been quite a bit bigger just prior to being the 1 yard wide in this video.

May get bad wind, hail storm late tonight. Put stuff away and a car in the neighbors garage. 90 mph winds in Northern Minnesota today. Derecho.

Thanks for the pics Brother Michael (would you please call mom!) Pockets of significant wind damage in this developing derecho https://t.co/2OCQApAd3z

Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Watch area and details here. 90MPH winds possible in the watch area with these storms. Metro will have to be watched carefully. Nothing to take lightly. Something like <3% of watches issued are PDS. Stay safe tonight. Even in MSP #mnwx pic.twitter.com/aQduVbkksW
