Thanks!

We could save many lives by not allowing people to drive, or just confining them to their homes, only to leave for essential items. However, it is not sustainable, therefore the legit discussion on who should follow strict guidelines until a working therapeutic or vaccination is introduced.
I agree and it is also helping the environment , and I agree it is not sustainable but for everyday extra day we can manage to do it will reduce the chances of a relapse and going back to square one.

If we account for density, NYC is a very unique place, and it should be treated differently, than say, Florida or Nebraska.

The Hospitals in NYC have been bee hives. Nurses, cops, patients in and out every day, subways open.... it's a perfect petri dish for spreading a contagion. Thats for every virus, every bacteria, every germ, every year. This year isn't any different.

I'm not seeing the correlation between keeping healthy people locked up in their homes indefinitely. I'm not seeing it because it can't be quantified. And yet policy continues to be made adversely affecting the general population based on assumptions. This is wrong.

If we had done the same exact thing in February of 2013, 43,000 people still probably would have died from the Flu. My assumption is no less valid than anyone else's, even Doctor Fauci.

I still don't understand why people trying to downplay COVID are comparing it to a very deadly virus people should be more fearful of, seems odd to me.

Don't know if I'm asking for agreement, I just think there can be healthy discourse that isn't political. I would like to make another point though, this thread should be apolitcal, but hopefully also with little to no insults, as healthy discourse is important.

DC is for political and unhealthy insults... :-) It's sport over there... and to some degree expected.

Actually, the most prevalent example of Dunning Kruger is the person who suggests somebody else is an example.

(That would be you, loser).

This from the guy who divided 330million people into 500 million dollars and come up with over 1 million dollars per person. With a very apropos user name as well.

I've been civil and apolitical. Unfortunately I've had to retaliate in kind towards some brash and bold fellows.

You're dealing with someone who said that if you stay out of hospitals, nursing homes and NYC and you won't get infected.
