This whole Clark thing is strange....should have just kept Houston at $22 mil for another year and use your picks.

They are still paying him $7 million this year...so $15 million Houston/picks or $19 million Clark and lose picks.

Switching the 2 players cost KC $4 million and a 2nd (at least)

Maybe...but Houston was a great run defender. Sutton wasted him by dropping into coverage. I think Indy runs a 4-3...and signed him.

His run defense last season wasn't as good as it has been in the past. He's declining.

It would have essentially been a contract year for him...players usually perform when playing for a new deal.
