We obtained Spags to be able to scheme up a great coverage defending scheme not really to stop the run.

We were 26th in run defense this year. 27th last year.

The difference? Pass defense. 13th in pass defense this year. 31st last year.

A superior pass defense has been the difference. Nothing to do with run defense really.

Kudos for Veatch and Reid for understanding what is important in the NFL these days.

Probably very little difference in Ford vs Clark quite honestly. Huge difference.in coverage and pass defense scheme skills with Matthieu. Its mainly a difference in dcoordinator.
