I'm starting this thread now for no other reason than I'm like a crack addict in a crack house with no lighter in regards to waiting for this game. I may just go play through the Orange Box, yet again, to get my fix.

I've played the Orange Box probably at least ten times (I'm talking Half Life 2 and both episode games). Might have to make it 11, then throw in Portal for old time's sake. (Speaking of, that was part of why I was so giddy waiting for Half Life 3 - supposedly it was going to have the Portal Gun in it. Half Life and Portal combined? Shiiiiiitt.)
2200 for a Dell with a massive 17” monitor. It even had a DVD burner drive! Prices were insane back in 98’-/99’.

The good ol' days when you didn't need to have your hand held all the way through the game. You had to just figure shit out. Now you just follow the giant icon on your hud that shows you exactly where to go. Try System Shock 2 and you'll really understand how challenging games used to be. [Reply]
