I'm no Costner groupie but Dances with Wolves was a pretty damn good movie IMO.
I didn't mind it, but too long/boring.

Untouchables was Costner's best work in my book. By far.

Note that I"m not a huge sports movie fan, so while I liked Field of Dreams, I don't gush over it like some folks.

When I lived in Iowa I used to take visitors to the Field of Dreams. At the right time of the day, when the corn is standing tall, it is a very cool place to be.
Although the fact that it is divided between two owners is kind of weird.
But the Ertl toy outlet on the way more than makes up for that.

Watching Back to the Future Part III tonight with my son and got to the part where Buford Tannen shoots Marty (Clint Eastwood, heh) and it appears that Buford does the exact same "dance" as Curly Bill in Tombstone four years later.

I would have to load them up back to back to be sure but they are damned similar. Almost like Powers Boothe wanted to do it that way.

I shared the "2 guns for the each of ya" clip in another thread and found the full movie on YouTube..

What is gets me everytime with this movie is the one liners - they are so sharp - so on point.

One of the first westerns I ever saw and in my top 5 for sure.

One thing I noticed after reading all the pages of this thread - did no one mention the Magnificent 7?

When I want to watch a Western I'm throwing up old Clint Eastwood movies.

Honest question -

Do westerns get any better than Unforgiven?

Eastwood has done so much great stuff, but this has to be right there near the top.

Man. Hard to say. You get to a certain point where some movies just tell a different story than others, and it's hard to say which one is better.

hang me high is outstanding. I don't tend to like westerns, but gunsmoke is a fun series.
