Nzoner's Game Room>Steelers planning to sign Dustin Colquitt

Good for him, I guess. Was selfishly hoping he'd just be done and entire career would've been with the Chiefs.

I THINK he only gets the prorated salary, so around $325k. Still, that's $325k he wouldn't have had if he'd retired.

Wonder why the Steelers are cutting him, though. He's been fine this season from what I can tell, and it's not like he's commanding a huge salary.

Dude is just trying to make a living. He's a good guy. Hope he makes KC his permanent home.

Two of them if he's the high bid on Mike Weber's.

Didn't he just save their asses on a hold this past week? Bad snap, fixed the hold, made the kick?

Yep. You gotta earn what you can while in the NFL. Smart business move.

I could be wrong but is Butker's yips being caused by the way our new punter is catching and placing the ball for him? He's always been used to Colquitt. :-)

All the metrics I’ve seen have had him listed at or near the bottom.

Hope he sees a lot of action that day.

Colquitt was last in the NFL in Net Punting. Since the rosters have expanded for Covid this season, Steelers had a rookie on the practice squad as a replacement. They have a little concern about how he'll do holding for field goals, but Tomlin wanted better production in the punt game. Can't blame him, he's in a battle for the AFC North and every yard matters.

Falcons are signing P Dustin Colquitt to the 53-man roster from their practice squad, per source.

Why would he want to go live in a shithole like Atlanta?
