My first thought was yeah, isn’t there someone more explosive out there?

But it’s late in the year and getting someone new schooled up enough might take a while... this will be a seamless deal, he can jump right in if needed

All in all, this is the best move to be made IMO

You aren't looking for or going to find a great RB on the street right now.

Ware knows the offense and can come in and step right in.

He knows the offense. Moreover, fresh legs.

This. It's no more complicated than that. He's a for now solution, not a long term solution

CJ Anderson came off the street last year and was amazing for the Rams. Seasoned vet, proven production and recent production.

He can't have #32 back though.

Well if they do sign him, maybe #38 or #39.

#20 - #29 all taken with #28 RB Abner Haynes - retired.
#30 - RB Elijah McGuire and CB Alex Brown (practice squad)
#31 - RB Darrel Williams
#32 - S Tyrann Mathieu
#33 - RB Stone Johnson - Retired #
#34 - RB Darwin Thompson
#35 - CB Charvarius Ward
#36 - RB Mack Lee Hill - Retired #
#37 - RB Joe Delaney - Not officially retired, but they have not been using it since Joe's passing.

Why not the 40s?

NFL at one time used 40s numbers for RBs but now you see it being used for TEs, FBs, LBs, Safeties, and LS positions.
