Hot dogs for the boys at the Mavs game. Yum! And a GREAT game too, the younger son and I got to see the winning goal in OT happen right in front of us.

I ate an entire 1 lb box of fried elbow macaronis. I boil them first, add a lot of butter, then fry them in batches until crispy and eat!

I ordered some Omaha Steaks Christmas 2015 and was very disappointed. Too thin.

Thanks to Global Foods Market, with heat and eat gyro meat and house made tzatziki, quality gyros are something I can whip up anytime at home.

Just keep decent pita, romaine, feta, Kalamata, tomato and romaine handy and you're always good to go.

Easier to prepare than grilled cheese, nearly as easy as toast.

Oh man, I'd sooo love to be able to find real gyro meat around here

I can and do buy take home kits from Kronos, but they're very skimpy with the skinny meat strips so I usually end up buying two kits... a large block of it that I could cut chunks from would be awesome

On a side note for anyone preparing wings today, I learned a secret to perfectly crispy skin online...get them as dry as possible before frying

Blot each one heavily with a wad of paper towels, then place on a plate in the fridge uncovered to air dry for 2-4 hours

Yeah, water and crispy are sworn enemies. Whether it's frying things in oil, or getting the Maillard reaction in a skillet.

Crisping takes a lot of energy, and water absorbs a lot of energy. So basically, if you're leaving moisture on the surface, you might as well boil it.

The chuckeyes are marinating in a mix of orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic and olive oil... and will then be thrown on the grill

The younger son and I just got ribs on the smoker... The best news... All I had to do was stand there and be the process' clean hands, he did the rest on his own. From soaking the chunks, to cutting the ribs, I didn't have to speak a word..

It's going to be pricey, but the next cook-off competition for Scouts is going to be yummy...

I'm late as hell with this, but my Father in Law came in from California last week and asked for bbq. I smoked some ribs, pulled pork, and sausage.
