He fits the Veech mold. Young and disappointing 1st round pick. I know I’ve drafted this guy in late rounds every year in fantasy football waiting for him to break out and it never happens. I don’t know if he realizes he’s a 2nd string TE now and should be paid accordingly.
Lord knows we need a backup TE since our backup TE is trying to convert to a WR in the county jail... [Reply]

Oh yeah. Sign Ebron to a 2 yr, incentives-laden, low guarantee/bonus contract...and cut Harris TODAY. [Reply]
He was due to make $8.25 mil with the Lions before he got cut but I don't know what he'll offer on the open market. He'd be at best the 5th option in the Chiefs offense so I wouldn't want to pay him much. Harris is making $2 mil and I guess it you can get Ebron for a little bit more then it would be worth it. He'd get basically no targets in our offense behind Hill, Watkins and Kelce. He's not coming here, he think he's good enough to be a legit TE1 even though I'm not sure that is the case [Reply]
At this point I think money needs to be invested into defense... Kelce, Hill, Watkins, Hunt and Ware. That's already a lot of weapons right there. [Reply]
Here's the problem if you do that, normally you need your 2nd TE to be able to block, Ebron is basically an oversized receiver. While he hasn't been terrible it would mean the Chiefs would still have work to do as Kelce and Ebron as your 1-2 would cause mismatches in the pass game it wouldn't be ideal for short yardage runs.
