That teddy bear that Marky Mark hung out with was right as this is one of the many songs by bands of the nineties where ya can just use vowels to sing along [Reply]
The only one that really stuck with me was I just assumed that Jack and Diane were counting on the bottle bounce to save their soul.
Probably because I knew they were two American kids livin' in the heartland, and always assumed that the bible belt was further south. So I never made the connection. [Reply]

Or when a guy ya work with alters the lyrics to "A little ditty 'bout Joseph Stalin" [Reply]
my parents said when I was like 4 years old, i was singing along to music on the radio. some song with lyrics "Why did you leave me Lucille", but I was singing it as "Why did you leave me, loose wheel".
my dad used to replace the lyrics from George Strait's "Fool Hearted memory"; instead of Foooooool, hearted memory" etc, he would say "Whoooooo farted, next to me"?
to this day, I still sing it like that if I ever hear it. [Reply]
