I've wanted out for YEARS, but my aging mom is here and doesnt really have anyone to help with things, and of course both kids are still in this shithole
But when ma passes, all bets are off... the kids can fly down to the panhandle and visit me [Reply]

You’re a good kid staying there to help your mom.
Right on man and back at ya, yeah just couldn’t feel good about myself packing up and moving to Florida leaving her all alone... both kids are still here but the closest one is almost 2 hours away, so that wouldn’t do her much good
Are you basically taking the place of an in-home nursing service?
I’m not looking forward to those kinda decisions as she gets older, don’t want her in a nursing home if I can help it... but jeeesh, don’t even wanna think about it right now [Reply]

Great job! Both of you guys! Aging parents are a responsibility and stress that you don’t know until you’ve done it. I took care of my dad 25 years ago before he passed and my mom for 8 years until she passed 3 years ago.
God bless you guys and god bless your parents! [Reply]
