Britain by 1997 is a toothless old lion. China is rising as a young dragon.

Actually. US NGO's are behind it, in order to draw China in.

It’s a clusterfuck down there. Any show of force by the police is going to be picked up by western media as a clampdown on democracy. Meanwhile the protesters lit someone on fire who was arguing with them and beat up elderly residents. It’s hard to move around in that city because the protesters have vandalized so many subway stations. For me I can take a taxi to a subway station that hasn’t been shutdown but the working people of Hong Kong are fucked.

I just spoke to a close Chinese friend of mine via What's App who is born and bred in Hong Kong, still living there. He also carries a Canadian dual citizenship from his college days in Toronto.

He and all his business associates are very alarmed at the length and severity of the disputes. He says that his China based government contacts are telling him their patience is wearing thin as the violence is getting worse.

Their fear is that they are going to send in 50,000 troops and shut everything down and arrest thousands plus there could be a lot of deaths if the students resist.

China is in a bad way here and the extradition law they tried to inflict on Hong Kong was a brutally misplayed political play.

US is Behind Hong Kong Protests Says US Policymaker

Once again as former Reps. Ron Paul, and Dennis Kucinich and others have said the National Endowment for Democracy behind it again, as they were in the Ukraine.

The US continues to deny any involvement in ongoing unrest and Pompass is a liar.

Johnson Yeung Ching-yin, was among 49 people arrested during Sunday’s protest...

The article would omit mention of Johnson Yeung Ching-yin’s status as an NED fellow. His profile is – at the time of this writing – still accessible on the NED’s official website, and the supposed NGO he works for in turn works hand-in-hand with US and UK-based fronts involved in supporting Hong Kong’s current unrest and a much wider anti-Beijing political agenda.

Wong has travelled to Washington DC multiple times, including to receive “honors” from NED-subsidiary Freedom House for his role in leading unrest in 2014 and to meet with serial regime-change advocate Senator Marco Rubio.

If China sends in the troop to suppress the protest, then it will never expect to take back Taiwan thru peaceful negotiation. If it uses force to invade Taiwan, WW3 could erupt.
