Pending reunion: The #Chiefs will sign G Jeff Allen if all goes well with his physical, source says. Allen began his career in KC before signing with the #Texans as a free agent. Chiefs need interior OL help, especially with G Lauren Duvernay-Tardif on IR.
I love this move. We're getting thin on the OL but he knows the system somewhat and was pretty good here at the end. He can maul a little bit.
I'd expect him to start sooner than later as I doubt LDT is coming back this season.
Mahomes didnt get sacked one time Sunday night while having a backup center and guard in there for a good chunk of the game. Most of that is because of his pocket presence, but still. A shot in the run game would be great to have. [Reply]

Some of that is because the Patriots defense isn't that great. [Reply]

Ah ... now that I've percolated on this, I don't think it was Allen that got arrested after a semi-violent episode in a hotel lobby. I think it was the other guy ... the one that used to play LT for us and signed with Miami.
Can't recall his name. I think he retired twice or something.
