If not his grade should be a D or F for the terrible throws. Most teams won't give up a bomb like that with 28 seconds to go in the half. You know it's coming.
Looked like the Falcons knew it was coming. There were 3 guys back there.

They still couldn't stop it.
Really tough to figure what went into that.
They devoted 3 down the middle deep to Reek, but they let him behind all of them. And it's not like Reek flat-out burned past them, he went into cruise and even stuttered a bit waiting for the ball to come down.
One might think they didn't think Mahomes could throw that far or something, but it's hard to believe all three 2nd teamers had such a specific limitation in their heads regarding coverage [ie, a conscious decision to cover Reek close for 65 yards, . . but not 70].
But then, they did seem pretty blase about him strolling free 5 yards behind them. [Reply]
3rd NFL start and the coaches came out trying to establish the run. Threw a bad INT, almost 2, and 72 yard bomb for a strike that landed right in the bread basket to Hill and another the Kelce. He looks comfortable and confident out there and I for one am excited for the kid and see no reason for him to fail.
32 teams in the NFL. 3 QBs on each team.
How many of those 96 QBs have the arm strength to make that throw? 10%? I'm guessing. One of those 10% is the Chiefs QB and he's barely old enough to drink legally, has the future and has all the potential in the world. [Reply]
The 6-6 start, the money throw to Kelce on 3rd and long, the statline of 8-12 for 138 and 1-1... and last but not least, the Madden play come to life 70 yard bomb
All equals a solid A all day in my book, we went into the half on a high and only down 4... Pat was steady and flashy
Also, the pick looked like Robinsons fault to me, he was half speed and not even looking for the ball [Reply]

14 is Watkins. Robinson switched to 11 from being 14 last season. [Reply]
That throw to Watkins that was picked was so horrendous it docked him a full grade to a C. He did literally everything wrong on that throw. Fix that and he'll be just fine. [Reply]
