This could have been my exact quote back in October, especially the paranoid part. It was just under a week after spending some time with 2 friends.

The exact day I started to shake whatever "allergies" I was having, my friend texted me to tell me he was sick as hell. Both people I was with that night ended up testing positive, and the place we were at (on the patio) was shut down because of a Covid outbreak. I'm pretty sure I had it, and wasn't just being paranoid.

But I want them to fully feel the pain and disappointment. From a personal values standpoint, I don't think I can do it. Maybe we can have me sweep up the stray leaves or something.

California is getting demolished with this thing. It's sad. I think the strict lockdowns kept it at bay but people just got worn out with them and now the wave is just crashing on them.

There has to be a reason for this. My guess is that people in California possibly don't have as strong of immune systems due to their year round nice weather? Just a theory. But if people still aren't going out and about, it's pretty crazy that it is still hitting them this hard...

I think maybe it's more because there are a ton of people that live there. What is hospital capacity per capita like in the hard hit areas? Are their per capita infection and hospitalization rates really that much higher than elsewhere? (I'm too lazy to look)

What if you're to blame for someone executing a run play and after 10 yards just laying the ball down and walking to the sideline? Untouched? 😁

Take areas A and B where both have the identical populations, demographic distribution and public health metrics.

I would find it hard to believe that if A had higher true population density than B that they would have fewer total cases, hospitalizations and fatalities.

But good luck actually calculating that because true population density != population / area.

No. Both he and mom have been pretty sick with the flu and now the test. He said the Dr. told him his bout with the flu was not Covid. He seemed confused with it all. I say he had it. Mom thinks they had it. I was with them over New Years and feel just fine.

Maybe. But when most of those people have already had it?
