Just a reminder that people laid off in Canada are getting CAD$2000 (~USD$1400). Per month.

The UK is covering 80% of laid-off worker wages for at least 3 months.

And all we can do is $1200 per person. Once. In 20 weeks from now.
They should. They won't.

Either pay everyone or let everyone go back to work.

don’t think you can at this time. if you didn’t select direct deposit at the time you filed your taxes you can’t change it now. they are trying to find a way for people to change it

Just do a rent and mortgage freeze.

But I guess that will "ruin the economy" as if this won't anyway

Experts tell White House coronavirus can spread through talking or even just breathing

CNN) A prestigious scientific panel told the White House Wednesday night that research shows coronavirus can be spread not just by sneezes or coughs, but also just by talking, or possibly even just breathing.

"While the current [coronavirus] specific research is limited, the results of available studies are consistent with aerosolization of virus from normal breathing," according to the letter, written by Dr. Harvey Fineberg, chairman of a committee with the National Academy of Sciences.

Fineberg told CNN that he will wear start wearing a mask when he goes to the grocery store.

1. The tax rate in the UK is much higher, they're already used to having tons living on government cheddar.

2. The money gets deposited like in a week or two, chill.

3. If things are still bad next month they can do another round of stimulus, which I'm sure was the plan from the beginning.

If that truly is the case then either just about everyone is immune or asymptomatic or the spread would be fucking outrageous by now.

Or while it might be able to be transmitted like that, the odds are so fucking small that it isn't worth worrying about.

At one point do we scare ourselves into a full paralysis? Both economic and physical?

No disrespect but why the hell would you mail your tax return in in this day and age?

National Academy of Sciences is a serious organization. No way they put that out there without a scientific method, peer reviewed study data to back it up.
