Yeah, I'm mostly hoping that the fact that we knew our local bank president back when he was an assistant loan manager is gonna help us out.

Because otherwise I have no earthly idea how anything is going to get accomplished here.

I don't think it's a matter of concern over getting sick for most people, it's at risk people they don't know vs their livelihoods. That's the tipping point and I feel it's already trending towards the (maybe less) option.

You can't tell people "stay at home you can't work" but your bills are still due and you have to pay them, here's 1200 dollars in 6 months.

This is gonna fucking ruin alot of shit.

Missouri’s numbers show that #Covid_19 is firmly inside rural communities all across the state.

For example, cases in Camden County, near Lake of the Ozarks, went from 1 last week to 17 today.

Bates county confirmed a new case yesterday

WTF? What did I miss while exercing?

The virus is transferable by just talking with someone or them breathing your way? What “reputable” scientist group told the White House this today?

Right, especially when they're not in the higher risk category of dying.

I said this weeks ago but I'm a socialist so

Just a reminder that people laid off in Canada are getting CAD$2000 (~USD$1400). Per month.

The UK is covering 80% of laid-off worker wages for at least 3 months.

And all we can do is $1200 per person. Once. In 20 weeks from now.

I heard this getting talked about this morning as well. To me people are either guessing, scaring or both.

We are doing $1200 per person + $500 per child. Then unemployment is effectively coming in at $24hr with this new bill so in reality a lot of people might be making more money than when they had a job. Not going to get into the politics of it but that was one of the arguments about the bill.
