Media Center>Time again for a new phone
Dartgod 08:28 PM 07-14-2013
So I'm eligible to upgrade my cell phone again August 1st. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S2 through Sprint and was ready to get the S4. Now I see that LG is set to release their Optimus G2 sometime in August.

http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/09/lg-optimus-g2-leak/

I've never considered LG, but I'm intrigued by what I've read.

Has anyone else looked at this and is it worth waiting another month or so for the LG?

Also, does anyone in the KC area have any experience with Sprint's LTE 4G? Is coverage still spotty?

Since moving all my music into iTunes Match I don't need that much capacity. The 16-64 jump is kind of annoying.

its a hundred dollars cheaper for a 64 gig now.

why didnt they just make the 16 gig 32? the production cost for this is about $1.50

or even better why didnt they just give everybody a goddamn microsd slot?

No room in that case. Same reason they moved to the lightning cable over the 30 pin or USB.

To get more people to buy the 64 I would assume

The unfortunate thing is that having the 16 gig phone is going to be a shitty experience.

I ordered the 16 gig iPhone 6 Plus. I don't need more than that.

I use an iPhone 5 regular, but I found this hilarious.

Pretty much.

One of the main reasons I don't purchase Apple products is because of how much they cost and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

I have an iPhone 4 & I'm thinking of going either the Note 4 or iPhone 6+.

So for Sprint pricing for the Samsung Note 4, Edge, and Iphone6 Plus, what is the anticipated or known pricing if you complete sign up for a new contract?

Notes should be in the 299 range and iphone 6 plus will start out at that too for the 16GB model. I believe the Notes will be 32GB internal with expandable.

I think I read somewhere the internal apps on the Iphone 6 will use almost 8GBs of storage out of the box so the 16 gig model is pretty much useless

The Note 4 it is then. Was thinking about giving the non-midget sized Iphone a chance though.

I've always found it funny how people act like there's no bloat on Apple or Google phones. I guess because it doesn't say AT&T in front of the app that it doesn't count as bloatware.
