I have some old XP-era games I would love to play again. Unfortunately, Windows 10 doesn't support SafeDisc so I can't install them on Windows 10.
I also don't have any hardware that will fully support older versions of Windows (driver issues) so I can just game on an older machine.
Are there emulators out there or some other way to play older games that I have on disk? Some of these games aren't on Steam so digital isn't an option either. [Reply]
I'm actually looking at possibly using VMWare Fusion since I use VM's for other stuff too.
I use Virtualbox now and for Linux and Windows productivity VM's it works fine. However, it simply doesn't work with games. 3D acceleration SUCKS in VB. [Reply]

Yeah, it seems to be either hacking up Windows 10 and hoping it works or running a decent virtualization software with good 3D acceleration, all of which cost money.
Not sure what I'm gonna do yet since it's my secondary gaming option anyway after my PS4. Maybe I'll just download Rome Total war for my iPad and play that. It's an old XP-era game [Reply]

Did you ever play Shogun 2? I feel it was their best entry in the series.
Also, did you snag a free copy of Troy a couple of weeks ago? [Reply]
