KC is on list to watch by Coronavirus Task Force. Infections growing in Middle America.

On a separate list of "locations to watch," which didn't meet the precise criteria for the first set: Charlotte, North Carolina; Kansas City, Missouri; Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska; Minneapolis; Montgomery, Alabama; Columbus, Ohio; and Phoenix. The rates of new cases in Charlotte and Kansas City represented increases of more than 200 percent over the previous week, and other tables included in the data show clusters in neighboring counties that don't form geographic areas on their own, such as Wisconsin's Kenosha and Racine counties, which neighbor each other between Chicago and Milwaukee.

This is classic panic porn.

We need to test more
More tests will find more cases
We fully expect cases to go up as we test more
We start testing more

WHY ARE THE CASES GOING UP?!?!?!?!

MOAR TESTING!!!!

Meanwhile Mo has fallen from 22nd in total cases to now 27th.

I fully believe it’s been here since then, and it’s nice to hear about more people with antibodies, but in this case it sounds like just guesswork that they had it in January. The people with antibodies estimated when they last had symptoms but this doesn’t account for those symptoms possibly being a regular cold or something else.

In Seattle, the best-case scenario, based on the plans laid out by the state, is that gatherings of over 50 people are allowed eight weeks from now. In Massachusetts, the mayor of Boston just called off all festivals and parades through Labor Day. New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and California, likewise, are a ways off from loosening the reins to the degree needed to hold an NFL camp. Counting 90 players, the coaching staff, scouts, doctors, trainers, strength staff, cafeteria staff, etc., if you cut away everything else, you may be able to run a camp with 150 people onsite. And the fact is, that’s a number that’s a still a ways off from being allowable in some corners of the country.

Both Buchanan County and Jackson County are on that list because of Triumph Foods.

And with more testing comes more cases then we get the fabricated "freak out"
because there are more cases as a result of the additional testing that we wanted and knew would show more cases.

Uh, just because people are suggesting it doesn't make it easy.

Even if it happens, it'll be a logistical nightmare for franchises that need to load absolutely everything and ship it out of state.
