There is a legitimate argument that it would be a different game if it had been officiated like most of the rest of the NBA has been, but even after that, Denver is just playing sloppy crap ball, and LA is playing crisp, tight ball. Doesn't help that they have no one that can defend LeBron or Davis, but still they can't do anything offensively. [Reply]
I don’t think there’s anything Denver could do honestly besides hope for Lakers to shoot out of their average or Davis/lebron get into early foul trouble. Thing is lakers have a kitchen sink to throw at their two best players and Dwight is emerging big time in this series. I gotta see how they play next but I think this is a legit sweep in the making (I hope) [Reply]
Too bad for the Nuggets. Great block there with 2 seconds and of course it goes out of bounds to give them a chance to run a baseline inbound play. [Reply]

Hard to be too hard on yourself there.
It's damn near impossible to control a block when you come from that far and it it that clean. I tip might spin away and get corralled but when you get that much ball, unless you came in under control and could get a second hand up there, there's just no good way to keep that ball in bounds.
Best he could've realistically hoped for is to somehow muscle it down into the shooter and off him out of bounds, but again - with as far as he had to extend to get to it, that's virtually impossible.
He made a great play. And frankly, the defense on the in-bounds was quite good. Jokic was a little late to challenge because he appeared to miscommunicate on the switch (the guy with Davis could've gone over the screen if he wanted to but thought Jokic was switching onto him; had to point to get Jokic's attention), but he's so long he still challenged the shot.
But when a 7 footer is draining catch and shoot 3-balls, you just tip your cap and move on. [Reply]
I really want to see a team come back from down 3-0. It's never been done in the NBA. I guess if Denver loses tonight, they'll have the opportunity. With the comebacks they've already made in these playoffs, a 3-0 comeback against the Lakers would really be something. [Reply]
